Pilkington’s Journey to Improved Efficiencies and Increased Visibility Within Their Financial Close Process

Pilkington North America is a division of NSG Group headquartered in Toledo, Ohio. Pilkington manufactures glass for the architectural and automotive industries.

With each region responsible for its own monthly closing process and control environment, the North American finance team purchased BlackLine to streamline its processes. Prior to BlackLine, there was limited insight into the status of thousands of account reconciliations across multiple locations, causing financial reporting and control issues among other strains to the already limited resources.

In this session, you will learn all aspects of Pilkington’s approach to evaluating, selecting, and implementing BlackLine over the past five years, including the easy wins and the challenges to this type of financial transformation from not only a systems perspective but regarding the impacts to your user base. You will also learn best practices of a BlackLine implementation from SandPoint Consulting, a BlackLine strategic alliance partner and the partner to Pilkington throughout its process.

Key Business Benefits:

  • Increased visibility into the status of the month-end close process and related controls
  • Decreased preparation time of hundreds of monthly reconciliations across multiple locations
